Pukka Christmas Calendar day 3
Uhmm. How nice today – it’s ginger time.
Pukka presents today’s tea ‘three ginger’ as follows:
Warming gifts of golden turmeric, galangal and ginger. Let your inner fires kindle your christmas spirit.
I really look forward to tasting this tea, as I love both ginger and galangal…
Tasting Pukka three ginger
Three ginger is a herbal tea with ginger, galangal, turmeric and licorice.
This tea tastes so good, it’s intense and seductive… Both sweet, spicy and warming. I highly recommend this tea especially if you live in a cold country like me 🙂
I like to steep my Pukka tea for a long-time to get all the goodness and flavor out. Often for 10 or 15 minutes before I drink it.. Don’t forget when steeping this tea.
I would love to have three ginger in my little tea store although pitta types should be avoiding to much ginger…!! I am an almost 50/50 mix of pitta and vata. But I think ginger is very good for me.

Good advices for the Pitta types
As I talked about in the previous posts the Ayurvedic philosophy divides people into three types. Read more about the Ayurvedic philosophy here.
I will dig into the two other types in the coming days.
Now for the pitta type. This type is described as oily, sharp, warm, moving, fluid, as it consists of the elements of fire and water.
This goes for the pitta element:
- Do not skip meals and do not wait until you are famished to eat
- Eat sweet and bitter, such as sweet fruits and green leafy vegetables
- Eat mild and cool foods such as coconut, rice, quinoa
- Avoid strong spices, buttermilk products, cheese and salt
- Stay in nature
- Make sure you get plenty of rest
- Laugh a lot, every day
- Keep up with sunbathing and sauna
- Go hiking by the water or practice exercise like swimming, sailing and skiing
- Be careful not to create unnecessary time pressures for yourself
The advice given for the pitta types fits me very well. The dietary advices on sweet fruits, coconut and leafy vegetables are just me, as I eat the mentioned things almost daily with great pleasure. No milk products for me, as I react on these things with acne.
I love laughing and being in nature. I don’t like sauna because I feel like I can’t breathe. And I have never been that much into sunbathing. So it is funny that I’m doing all the ‘right’ things according to Ayurvedic science.
Is it the same for you?
Quote 3 December
‘It always seems impossible until it’s done’
Quote by Nelson Mandela, 1918 – 2013. Former South African president and one of the country’s leading anti-apartheid activists.
Nelson Mandela was a truly inspirational man, believing in his case and fighting until the last. I highly respect and admire people who are doing what everybody else are only dreaming about. Thumps up!
Do you have a dream?
I myself are dreaming of being able to earn a living through my passion ♥
Now you have a nice sunday maybe with some of Pukka’s teas 😀
PS. I am writing a Danish ‘tea and quote’ also, have a look here.
